The project.
We were requested once again by London home stagers to create three wallpaper feature walls in a 11th-floor luxury apartment in Embassy Gardens London.
The Modern – a 19-storey skyscraper designed by international designer duo Benningen Lloyd and developed by EcoWorld Ballymore, overlooks the US Embassy London and ecological Linear Park in Nine Elms, London
Creating natural stone effect wallpaper feature walls and wallpaper installation in luxury properties requires expertise to ensure an exceptional finish. This is why Phantom – experienced wallpaper installers were called in to do what they do best – concrete effect wallpaper installations.
Specification.
Having worked with the London home staging company on many occasions before, we engaged with the interior designer, provided accurate wallpaper measurements.
This was a small but technical project where we were working with four different wallpaper types. The most challenging of all was the granite-effect wallpaper, while the wallpaper is of superior quality and easy to handle, finding the match was rather tricky. However, our wallpaper hanger with 30 years wallpaper installation experience under his belt, he overcame all challenges.
In the kitchen dining and living room we installed Designers Guild Ajanta Linen wallpaper P555/02, a concrete effect wallpaper design.
Master Bedroom – we installed Designers Guild Arlay Linen wallpaper PDG686/02.
Bedroom Two / Study – we installed Designers Guild Celestine Linen P593/05 – a marble effect wallpaper design.
Our wallpaper hanger installed one-metre wide 1400 grade lining paper horizontally which also provides extra slippage when butt-joining the final wallcovering.
The result.
The interior décor of a new build provides a blank canvas for interior designers to work from. However, with ambient light flooding into a dual aspect apartment it is not always necessary to redecorate the entire property. Just create attractive wallpaper feature walls to bring colour and texture to the living space.
The kitchen and dining concrete effect wallpaper feature wall brings visual texture to an area that is abundant with smooth surfaces, while also retaining a subtle relationship with other natural surfaces such as the granite and wood worktops.
The concrete granite effect wallpaper can be enjoyed from all angles, including in the living room, where natural light reflects onto the foil of the wallpaper, making it an ideal conversation piece at a fraction of the real cost of applying concrete.
In the master bedroom, while bold floral wallpaper designs are not to everyone’s taste the soft light brown hued design of this wallpaper brought some floral to a place of sanctuary to add warmth to a rather clinical décor. At the same time, the colours of this floral wallpaper co-ordinate with existing soft furnishings.
The study / second bedroom gave a natural stone look by the way of a granite effect wallpaper.
