The project.

Our decorative moulding installer was called to a split level apartment in former recording studios in Chiswick, West London.

Helpfully, the young client knew what she was looking to achieve. so it was just decorative moulding planning and installation.

Specification.

Before installing the decorative mouldings, the installer discussed the proposed wall panel design with the client to ensure of the desired layout because the ceiling heights on some walls were higher than others. There was also the matter of working around the number of power sockets, switches and one of the double beds.

For all rooms we installed the Broken Ogee Pine Decorative moulding of 8mm thickness and 21mm width from Cheshire Mouldings. The ideal size to give your wall some texture to large smooth walls akin to picture frames.

Professional decorative moulding installation

Our wood moulding installer carried out the work in two stages to avoid any disruption to the client.

Once professionally fitted, the client painted the wall and mouldings.

The result.

This apartment in the former Stanley Gardens recording studio was not so long ago repurposed and redeveloped to modern apartments, while retaining some remnants of its former life as a recording studio, with high ceilings over three metres.

Given the large wall area it was right to install some decorative wall mouldings. The wood wall mouldings in the second bedroom is so well aligned with the floor joists above which adds some character to the room.
