The project.

Kitchen / Dining – in the open plan kitchen dining and living room we installed Designers Guild Ajanta Linen wallpaper P555/02.

Master Bedroom – we installed Designers Guild Arlay Linen Cutting wallpaper PDG686/02.

Bedroom Two / Study – we installed Designers Guild Celestine Linen P593/05.

If you ever see hairline gaps or creases to the edge of an installed wallcovering it is likely because there was insufficient slippage to allow the wallpaper hanger to manoeuvre the wallpaper edge to edge during installation. It can be caused by too much adhesion to substrate such as new plaster that absorbs adhesive relatively quick making it hard to slip.

The result.

The kitchen and dining distressed plaster wallpaper feature wall brings visual texture to an area that is abundant with smooth surfaces, while also retaining a subtle relationship with other natural surfaces such as the granite and wood worktops. The distressed plaster effect wallpaper can be enjoyed from all angles, including in the living room, where natural light reflects onto the foil of the wallpaper, making it an ideal conversation piece at a fraction of the real cost of distressed plaster.

In the master bedroom, while bold floral designs are not to everyone’s taste the soft light brown hued design of this wallpaper brought some floral to a place of sanctuary to add warmth to a rather clinical décor. At the same time, the colours of this floral wallpaper co-ordinate with existing soft furnishings.
