The project.
We were contracted by a Sunbury upon Thames resident who had just recently bought their first house. Prior to moving in they were looking to have the entire house painting and decorating and wood floor installed.
The Sunbury owners were looking for Sunbury painters that not only had the experience to carry out the work, but were flexible in approach to enable the extensive joinery work to take place, so Phantom – Sunbury Painters and Decorators were called in – qualified Sunbury painting and decorating contractors.
Specification.
The house painting and decorating schedule was based around the installation of the wood floorcovering because this would require removal and re-installing skirting boards. With this in mind our Sunbury painter spent the first few days carrying out methodical preparation to walls followed by painting internal storage areas and rooms that would not have wood floor, such as the bathrooms and the kitchen. Our Sunbury decorator also had the opportunity to apply the first coat Dulux Polished Pebble to the walls before the new wood floor is installed.
Our Sunbury painter returned some two weeks later once all wood floors were installed to do the final preparation to skirting boards and apply the final coat of Dulux Polished Pebble and painted all woodwork in Pure Brilliant White with an hard-wearing acrylic eggshell finish. In one of the bedrooms our Sunbury painter and decorator created a feature wall with Dulux Willow Tree.
As the ceilings were not to be painted, our Sunbury painter applied the Dulux Polished Pebble wall paint and the feature wall paint carefully and skilfully to ensure clean sharp lines around the edges.
The result.
When our Sunbury painter and decorator visited the townhouse to give our painting and decorating quote it did appear rather tired, and perhaps had not been painted since it was first built over a decade ago because all walls were in the dated Magnolia throughout the townhouse. The townhouse also had the standard new build plain carpet that appeared to have been fitted when the house was built.
The execution of this Sunbury house painting project was incredibly smooth because both the client and ourselves regularly communicated progress. The house painting was successfully completed in time for the professional cleaners that were booked the day after we finished.
